A top supermarket has unveiled a tongue-in-cheek rival to Coca-Cola’s famous Christmas red truck - with its own version promising that the ‘Holidays are coming in under budget’.

As part of its festive campaign this year, Lidl has announced it will be taking its own Christmas truck out on the road - with free Christmas presents from its famed ‘Middle Aisle’ and other treats in store.

Sporting the logo of its own-brand alternative soft drink, Freeway cola, the truck will be touring the country from next week until the start of December.

Earlier this week, Coca-Cola unveiled its own, original red truck would soon be popping up across the UK too.
