Royal author Omid Scobie has denied being at fault for a mistake in the Dutch translation of his new book Endgame, which appeared to identify the Royal who made comments allegedly about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son Archie's skin colour.

During their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex claimed that a senior Royal had expressed "concern" over how dark Archie's skin would be.

In his book, Omid claimed that there were actually two Royals who made unkind remarks about Archie's skin tone. And while the English version of the book does not name either Royal, with Omid citing UK law as the reason why, the Dutch translation appeared to reveal the identity of one of these.

It remains unclear if the name ended up being included in the book due to a mistake in publishing or translating. OK! has decided not to publish the name of the Royal in question.
