Police are continuing to investigate after an elderly man was found dead at a flat in Old Trafford. A murder investigation was launched after the victim - aged in his 80s - was found dead in a ground floor flat on Edgbaston Drive on July 20.
Emergency services were called to the scene after receiving a concern for welfare report. A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

This could take some time, they added. The name of the victim, or his specific age, has not been released at this stage. After the incident, neighbours in the quiet cul-de-sac told of their shock as police flooded the street.
