Ange Postecoglou has been on the hunt for another striker and the 21-year-old is on the brink of a move to the east end of Glasgow from Suwon Samsung Bluewings.
And Football Scotland say that Hyeon-gyu is set for his medical before completing the formalities of a move that is in the region of £3 million.
But Giorgos Giakoumakis is set to go the other way with the Greek striker heading to Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan and Josip Juranovic looking likely to move to Union Berlin.
