OAP asks family to donate to Safety Zone youth centre for her 90th birthday instead of receiving presents

A generous woman celebrated a special birthday with a big-hearted gift benefiting a local youth organisation.When Bargeddie resident Susan Bell recently turned 90, she asked relatives not to buy gifts, but instead to make donations to the nearby Safety Zone, which runs a host of activities for local youngsters.Her loved ones contributed the “amazing” combined total of £1000, with the bumper cheque being handed over when a group from the centre made a special visit to the birthday girl.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
