‘Nurse Jackie’ Sequel Series Starring Edie Falco Moves To Amazon From Showtime

deadline.comA Nurse Jackie sequel series, originally set at Showtime, is now in development at Amazon MGM Studios, with Edie Falco set to star, Deadline has confirmed.
As we previously reported in 2023, the potential sequel series from Lionsgate Television, producer of the original series, was in development at Showtime.
Showtime‘s linear network, which launched more than four decades ago during the early days of cable, was officially rebranded and relaunched in a package with Paramount+ in January.
Per the logline: “10 years after we left Jackie Peyton (Falco) clinging to life in the series finale, we find her back on her feet in spite of having lost her nursing license.
