Drama has already unfolded before the festivities have even begun at the National Television Awards, which are set to take place tonight, Thursday 13 October.The annual affair – typically dominated by This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, as well as I’m A Celebrity’s Ant and Dec – will take place in London at Wembley’s OVO Arena, with TV fans able to tune into the event at 8pm on ITV.

While the event hasn’t even started, there have already been a string of dramas, including the date of the highly-anticipated affair being moved and some stars having to pull out of attending due to contracting Covid.

Date gets pushed back The decision was made to postpone the event following the passing of the late Her Majesty the Queen on 8 September.

Initially the NTAs were set to take place on 15 September, but as a sign of respect to the late monarch, the awards show was pushed back by a month.
