Kyle Walker has been left out of another Manchester City game as he looks for a move away from the club. The captain went to sporting director Txiki Begiristain last week to ask to explore options abroad for the final year of his career, and he was duly left out of the matchday squad for the FA Cup win over Salford City.
Pep Guardiola said he had taken the decision to leave Walker out after the transfer request, although did not confirm that it was the end of his City career.
Asked if he would be considered for selection again, Guardiola appeared on Saturday to say that it would depend on what happens in the transfer market.
Ahead of the game with Brentford, the manager said that Walker had a chance of being included if he trained well on Monday. "We'll decide after training.
