Lauryn Goodman has shared her son Kairo's upset over not seeing his father, footballer Kyle Walker. In an exclusive at-home photoshoot with the OK!, the 34 year old mum of two - who shares Kairo, four, and one year old Kinara with Kyle following an affair - discussed the difficult conversations she has with their son about his dad.
Kyle, who hasn't had contact with his children with Lauryn for a year, is married to Annie Kilner and they have four boys together. This weekend, he will play his first match for AC Milan, having left Premier League club Manchester City.
Speaking to OK!, she revealed: "I'm in that transition stage at the moment where we haven't fully crossed over to 'the truth. "For the whole year it's been very much 'your dad's playing football, he's training.' Then one day Kairo started crying his eyes out saying 'I miss my dad, I miss my dad,' and I was saying 'I know you do.' But then he started getting angry and said 'He's not at football; he's not playing today.'" Lauryn continued: "I asked him how he knew and he said another child had told him that Man City weren't playing that day.
And I realised we couldn't keep on going like that. So I have spoken to therapists and professionals about it." Lauryn has candidly shared the impact of her personal struggles on her trust in others, revealing the challenges she's faced since the fall out from her affair.
