A 30-strong group from the Northern Architectural History Society recently enjoyed a weekend tour of Dumfries and Galloway.
In a packed programme, they travelled from Newcastle on Friday to explore Priors Lynn Bothy in Canonbie followed by a Dumfries town walk and a tour of the Crichton Memorial Church.
On Saturday they began their day at Old Place of Mochrum, before visiting Whithorn Priory and Museum. In the afternoon they came to Kirkcudbright and enjoyed a guided tour of E A Hornel’s Broughton House and Garden.
They were then divided into two groups and given a tour of the old part of the town by volunteer guides from Kirkcudbright History Society.
