North Road Heads To Brazil For Latest International Co-Pro With Medical Thriller ‘Suture’
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Peter Chernin’s The North Road Company is heading to Brazil for its latest international co-pro.
The company is teaming with Spiral International and Boutique Films on medical thriller series Suture, which has landed at Prime Video in Latin America and Portugal and will be unveiled at MIPCOM next week.
North Road retains the rights to produce an English-language version. From International Emmy winner Zasha Robles, Suture tells the story of Ícaro, an upstanding medical student barred from his residency program due to college debts, and Dr.
Mancini, a brilliant surgeon plagued by hand tremors who yearns to return to the operating table. Left with no other recourse, the two must become doctors for a criminal organization, leading them down a treacherous path of double lives from which escape may prove impossible.
