North Lanarkshire Provost Kenneth Duffy and Susan Lady Haughey CBE raised a flag outside the Civic Centre earlier today to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.

Holocaust Memorial Day is held on January 27 each year and marks the anniversary of liberation of the largest Nazi-run death camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945.Provost Duffy said: “We remember those who lost their lives for who they were and stand against prejudice and hatred.
