North Korea has fired two short range missiles toward its eastern coast hours after the U.S. military concluded military training exercises with South Korea.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement they detected the two missiles launched between 1:48 a.m. and 1:58 a.m.
on Sunday from North Korea's eastern coastal city of Munchon. The Joint Chiefs said South Korea’s military has boosted its surveillance posture and maintains a readiness in close coordination with the United States.
The Japanese government also said North Korea fired what were possible ballistic missiles. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attends at a meeting of the Workers' Party of Korea in Pyongyang, North Korea on Feb.
