Paul Mescal is opening up about his first Emmy nomination in a brand new interview, and addressing Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones‘s snub.
The 24-year-old actor shared that upon hearing of his nomination, the first person he wanted to call was his mom, but he couldn’t get in touch with her. “I was trying to voice call everybody on a WhatsApp group, but nobody was picking up,’ he shared. “I think they were all kind of scared.
When I got everybody on the call, it was pretty amazing. My brother who never cries was crying.” Paul did hope that Daisy would’ve been nominated alongside him, but she was snubbed in the nominations. “It’s disappointing because I would love to have shared that with her,” Paul added.
