Oscars nominations have been revealed and there are several snubs that film fans are not happy about.Jacques Audiard’s original musical thriller Emilia Pérez leads the pack with a massive 13 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress for Karla Sofía Gascón and Best Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldaña.Brady Corbet’s architectural epic The Brutalist and Jon M.
Chu’s starry Broadway adaptation Wicked came in tied for second place, with 10 nominations each. Other movies with multiple nods include Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown and papal drama Conclave with eight apiece, and Sean Baker’s Anora, which received six nominations.However, as ever, there were some notable omissions.
Luca Guadagnino missed out twice with his 2024 movies, Queerand Challengers, to the surprise of film fans.
