The region's coronavirus hospital death toll stands at 5,879, the latest NHS figures show. Two new deaths were confirmed yesterday (April 24): one at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and one at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. The total number of coronavirus-related deaths at hospital trusts in Greater Manchester, as of Sunday, April 25, are: Bolton NHS Foundation Trust - 647 Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust - 9 Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust - 1,182 NHS Nightingale Hospital North West - 6 Pennine Acute
