Baton, knuckledusters and stashes of drugs discovered as police intercept car

For the latest news from in and around Wigan sign up to the MyWigan newsletter here A baton, brass knuckles and stashes of drugs were found by after officers intercepted a car in Leigh Police officers spotted a vehicle 'acting suspiciously' before pulling it over.

According to Greater Manchester Police, a bat was discovered inside, as well as a 'strong smell of cannabis'. Following further searches, a quantity of cannabis was uncovered as well as items appearing to resemble a scale and snap bags.

A man has been arrested for possession of an offensive weapon, possession with intent to supply cannabis, driving without a licence and insurance.
