Martin Charles Scorsese Italian (born November 17, 1942) is an American filmmaker and actor, whose career spans more than 50 years. Part of the New Hollywood wave of filmmaking, he is widely regarded as one of the most significant and influential filmmakers in cinematic history. Scorsese's body of work explores such themes as Italian-American identity, Catholic concepts of guilt and redemption? faith, machismo, modern crime, and gang conflict. Many of his films are also known for their depiction of violence and liberal use of profanity. In 1990, he founded The Film Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to film preservation, and in 2007 he founded the World Cinema Foundation. He is a recipient of the AFI Life Achievement Award for his contributions to the cinema, and has won an Academy Award, a Palme d'Or, Cannes Film Festival Best Director Award, Silver Lion, Grammy Award, Emmys, Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and Directors Guild of America Awards.

Nina Dobrev Weighs In On 'Vampire Diaries' Reboot & If She'd Ever Play a Vampire Again

Paul Wesley might have said no to future projects involving vampires, but Nina Dobrev feels a bit differently.

The 34-year-old The Out-Laws actress opened up in a new interview, and revealed she might be open for another vampire role, but she has some stipulations about it. Keep reading to find out more… During her appearance on Radio Andy, Nina was asked about the possibility, and she was open to it. “I think it always depends on the role and the director,” Nina noted. “I don’t want to say never because if Steven Spielberg is directing or if Martin Scorsese has a vampire flick coming up and there’s a great role that will challenge me in some way, maybe, so I guess, yeah.

Steven, call me. Martin, let me know.” The conversation then went to a possible reboot of The Vampire Diaries, and Nina says it’s a little too early to think about that. “I think it’s way too soon to be talking about a reboot because the show didn’t even end that long ago,” she shared.

However, Nina admits that being close with her co-stars, including Paul, Kayla Ewell, Candice Accola, and Kat Graham, would make her think hard about it. “It was such a big part of our lives for so many years.
