The Brummy actor has explained how he learned his character was H midway through filming the sixth season of the hit BBC crime drama.

Nigel said he was apprehensive when showrunner Jed Mercurio texted him to say they needed to talk about his involvement in the show.

With the series having a tendency to see characters killed off dramatically, Nigel said he thought the worst was going to come for DSU Buckells.
