BBC responds to Line of Duty fans after complaints over finale

More than 12 million people tuned in to watch the last episode of series six earlier this month after six weeks of teasing as to the identity of 'H'.

After a series of tense scenes and plenty of theories, episode seven finally saw DS Ian Buckells unmasked as the unlikely culprit.

Fans felt the last episode lacked the drama seen in the previous five series. Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio later admitted they knew it 'wouldn't appeal to everyone', but thanked those for watching in their droves.
