As you may have heard, Nicole’s beloved mother Janelle Ann Kidman died at the age of 84 last week. Her death came just hours before Nicole was awarded Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival for her role in Babygirl; the 57-year-old sadly ended up having to leave the festival early due to her mom’s passing. Janelle… It’s unclear if Tom Cruise contacted his ex following the loss, but according to Woman’s Day, their adopted children did! Bella and Connor Kidman Cruise famously sided with their father after the divorce, presumably due to his connections with Scientology.
They became estranged from their momma — something which has bothered her ever since. She reportedly was hoping just last year they’d attend her AFI Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony — though that felt really futile.
