Nicolas Kuhn is reportedly a summer transfer target for Eintracht Frankfurt, with the Bundesliga club keen to bring the Celtic star back to Germany. The wide man has been in blistering form for Brendan Rodgers' side this season, racking up 18 goals and 12 assists in 37 matches in all competitions.
The 25-year-old was on target in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with former club Bayern Munich in the Champions League at the Allianz Arena, with the Hoops agonisingly crashing out of the competition 3-2 on aggregate thanks to Alphonso Davies' last-gasp equaliser.Kuhn was heavily linked with Newcastle United in the January window and Magpies scouts were said to have run the rule over in the winger in person in Celtic's 2-1 loss to Bayern in the first leg of their Champions League knockout play-off last week.
And now according to BILD (via Frankfurter Neue Presse), the ex Rapid Vienna and Ajax man is on a three man shortlist for 2022 Europa League winners' Frankfurt next summer. They claim that the German club have identified Kuhn, along with Freiburg's Japanese star Ritsu Doan and Strasbourg's Dilane Bakwa as potential targets.
Frankfurt CEO Markus Krösch is said to be keen on bolstering the sides' attacking ranks in the summer window, with a new right winger high on their agenda to provide competition to Ansgar Knauff.Follow Record Sport on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond. You can also follow our dedicated Rangers and Celtic podcast pages and sign up to our newsletters to make sure you never miss a beat throughout the season.
