Nicola Sturgeon's husband Peter Murrell has been arrested in connection to an ongoing SNP funding and finances investigation.
The former SNP chief executive is understood to be in custody and is being questioned by detectives. Officers are also carrying out searches at several other addresses in link with the investigation.
Meanwhile, a report will be sent to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
