Nicola Sturgeon has been arrested as part of an investigation into the Scottish National Party's finances, according to Police Scotland.
Police have been investigating the party's finances as part of Operation Branchform which was launched in July 2021 after complaints were made over the use of donations for a future independence referendum worth more than £600,000.
As part of the investigation, the SNP's headquarters, Ms Sturgeon's home, and SNP chief executive Peter Murrell's home have all been searched.
It comes after a £100,000 motorhome was seized by police outside the home of Mr Murrell's mother in Dunfermline, Fife. The force said: “A 52-year-old woman has today, Sunday, June 11, been arrested as a suspect in connection with the ongoing investigation into the funding and finances of the Scottish National Party.” This is a breaking story and we will provide the latest updates...
