Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte were rumored to have not gotten along while shooting the film I Love Trouble (1994), resulting in some behind-the-scenes drama.The two lead actors had completed about half of the romantic-comedy crime film, directed by Charles Shyer, when Roberts described Nolte as 'completely disgusting' during an interview with The New York Times in December 1993.And now, nearly 30 years later, Nolte is opening up about the tension between them and whether there's still any lasting bitterness.

3 decades later: Nick Nolte, 81, opened up about behind-the-scene drama with Julia Roberts while shooting the romantic-comedy crime film I Love Trouble in 1993In I Love Trouble, the two actors play Sabrina Peterson and Peter Brackett, rival newspaper reporters in Chicago.

Sabrina is young and ambitious, while Peter is a fading star who just published his first novel.They reluctantly join forces to investigate a train derailment, and in the process argue over almost everything but eventually discover a conspiracy involving genetically altered milk.  'From the moment I met him we sort of gave each other a hard time, and naturally we get on each other's nerves,' Roberts, 55, shared at the time, when asked about Nolte's reputation for being crude on a set.

She added, '[While he can be] completely charming and very nice, he's also completely disgusting. He's going to hate me for saying this, but he seems to go out of his way to repel people.
