Nick Montgomery has officially been announced as the new manager of Hibs on a three-year-deal. The Central Coast Mariners boss rubber-stamped a deal to replace beleaguered Lee Johnson who was shown the door after a poor start to the season in the Scottish Premiership.
The 41-year-old said farewell to his A-League champions this week after a successful spell down under and agreed terms with the Easter Road hierarchy, who have moved quick to replace Johnson during the international break.
Montgomery will take the reins and look to get the Hibees campaign back up and running.Director of Football Brian McDermott commented: “We are delighted to welcome Nick to Hibernian FC and are really excited about bringing him to the football club.
I’ve followed Nick’s career for a number of years. As a player, he was a leader and he’s brought that quality into his managerial and coaching career.
