Nick Knowles forced to quit Strictly Come Dancing tomorrow after new injury

DIY SOS star Nick Knowles has been forced to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing's next live show on Saturday 5 October after sustaining an injury.

Nick, 62, is reportedly on crutches following a dress rehearsal accident where he performed a jump and took a bad fall while landing.This will be the second injury Nick has sustained during the competition, after he recently injured his shoulder and arm changing a tyre during the run up to the second live show of the new series.

A source told The Mirror: "Nick won't be able to take part in Strictly tomorrow night after hurting his knee. He was in a dress rehearsal with his dance partner Luba Mushtuk when he did a jump and landed awkwardly." The source said Nick was now on crutches and "being supported by the Strictly team" after the "devastating blow." "They are sending him for scans and are doing everything they can to make sure he is okay." A Strictly Come Dancing spokesperson told OK!: "Unfortunately, Nick Knowles sustained an injury during rehearsals and as a result, will not dance this weekend.

As per the rules of the competition, Nick and Luba will receive a bye through to next week when he is hopefully able to dance again.
