BBC programme's upcoming series. The 59-year-old had found himself in hot water with the broadcaster after breaching his contract by starring in a Shreddies advert, with his appearance in the commercial being almost identical to his role on DIY SOS.And while many fans are excited to see Nick front the popular series again, the father-of-four has taken to social media to reveal that there had been very little response to a new construction site being built in Stoke. It seemed apparent from Nick's tweet on Sunday that the show was still missing many workers before filming commences next week. The TV personality seemed convinced the show was understaffed for the project because there hadn't been much promotion as the response in Stoke has been far more significant in the past.In view of his 168,000 followers, Nick wrote: "Ok Stoke unusually small response to @DIYSOS build in the area starting 16th Feb & we think it's because the word has not got out."We've always had a great response in Stoke area before so News, Radio, social media, charity networks please spread the word we need…. (page 1of 2)."The Close Calls: On Camera star went on to tell his fans that if they had experience in any of the fields mentioned in his tweet, they should get in contact with the official DIY SOS email. In a last-minute attempt to on board more workers, Nick added: "(Page 2 of 2)@DIYSOS Stoke could use your help on a big community build this month."We still need landscapers, joiners, Groundworkers, carpenters, multi-trades, electricians & tele handlers & Composite cladding/decking."If you can help, email diysosstoke@bbc.co.uk."Back in November, Nick revealed how he chose not to speak out about his gruelling 10-month health battle with coronavirus.
