Nick Jonas has opened up fatherhood, heaping praise on wife Priyanka Chopra for being his ‘rock’.The couple, who got married in a very lavish ceremony in 2018, confirmed the surprise arrival of their baby daughter, Malti, via a surrogate in January.After a worrying few months, they were able to bring the newborn home from hospital, where she had spent more than 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).In that time, the couple leaned on each other, with the Jonas Brothers singer, 28, describing the Bollywood icon as ‘a rock the whole time and continues to be’ in a new interview, vowing: ‘I’m grateful to have a teammate in Pri’.The mom-of-one shared that the feeling is mutual, continuing: ‘He’s an incredible son, brother, husband, friend and father.
I don’t know how I got so lucky.’Speaking about their decision to speak openly about the struggles little Malti was going through, Nick explained that they wanted to help others in similar situations.‘What we shared on social media was the feeling that we had – the gratitude, obviously, to have our baby home, but also for each and every person that was a part of her journey in the hospital,’ he said.
