After 14 eventful years on Radio 1, Nick Grimshaw has sadly decided to leave the station. The popular presenter announced his exit on Wednesday after admitting he had kept it a secret from everyone he knows. "It’s been my home for 14 years.
It’s the only place I wanted to work. It’s the only radio station I ever listened to. So a big decision, huge decision, but a good one," he explained to his loyal listeners.
Grimmy, who is being replaced by Vick Hope and Jordan North, will be taking over his Drivetime show while he looks forward to a new chapter in his life.
While becoming a Radio 1 DJ was his childhood dream it's not always been as easy ride for Nick, who previously shocked listeners when he stepped down from the breakfast show in 2018.
