Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson under her birth name in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin.

After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.

Niall Horan
Niall James Horan (born 13 September 1993) is an Irish singer and songwriter. He rose to prominence as a member of the band One Direction. In 2010, Horan auditioned as a solo contestant for British singing competition The X Factor. After being eliminated as solo performers, Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson were put together in a band.

Niall Horan has Katy Perry to thank for the moment that kickstarted his career. The 29-year-old “Slow Hands” crooner came to fame as a member of One Direction, the boy band that was formed on X Factor.

However, he revealed to Katy‘s fiancé Orlando Bloom that it never would have happened without her help.
