A NHS Lanarkshire chief is encouraging parents to get their children vaccinated ahead of winter.Dr Henry Prempeh, Health Protection Consultant and Immunisation Co-ordinator is urging parents and carers to ensure their child gets their flu vaccine as soon as possible.Flu cases are already on the rise, particularly in children aged one to four, and the expectation is numbers will continue to increase as flu circulates in local communities.The flu vaccine is usually given as a painless nasal spray and is a safe way to help protect your child against flu.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
