NFL RedZone Studio Emergency; Asked To Evacuate As Alarm Goes Off During Live Broadcast

Viewers watching NFL RedZone broadcast on Sunday were confused when alarms started going off during the live transmission of the football game.

Scott Hanson was on the air when they were told to evacuate the studio as the live broadcast went on and they broke into the feed. “This is a first in my twenty-something-year broadcasting career,” Hanson said. “We have an alarm going off in the studios of NFL RedZone right now, in our studios here in Inglewood, California.

We are being told we need to evacuate the building. We do not know the nature of the emergency.” He continued, “You can probably hear the alarm going right over the top of my right shoulder here.” Hanson continued broadcasting the game during a critical moment in the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles encounter during the fourth quarter. “The control room needs to evacuate at this time,” Hanson added. “The studio, in which I’m standing, needs to evacuate at this time.
