Manchester has been named among the best places to visit in 2024 by The New York Times in its annual guide. The US publication has listed 52 places to travel to in the coming year, with the likes of Paris, Singapore and Florida also making the cut.
Only one other UK location featured on the list, Bannau Brycheiniog in Wales. The list looks at destinations the US publication considers “are worth travelling to” and “people should take advantage of this year”.
Unsurprisingly, the entry for Manchester praises the city’s music scene, saying that it has “long been at the core of Manchester’s gritty soul”.
It mentions the opening of the city’s newest music venue, the Co-op Live, later this year as one of the reasons to visit. Try MEN Premium now with our amazing New Year offer...
