New York City is opening back up amid the pandemic. Starting on Monday (March 7), students will no longer have to wear masks indoors at public schools. However, children under 5 must continue to wear masks because they are not yet eligible for vaccines.
People will also not be required to show proof of vaccination to go to restaurants, gyms and other venues, including movie theaters.
Masks are still required on public transit and certain venues, like Broadway theaters. “It’s time to reopen our city,” he declared.
