New Two Doors Down series confirmed as BBC show gets a new home

Hit Scots sitcom Two Doors Down is set to return for a seventh series.Production on the new series of the comedy show is set to begin in summer, bosses confirmed today.However, the popular series, which follows the trials and tribulations of Latimer Crescent residents, will exit BBC Two in a schedule shake-up.Instead, the goings on of married couple Eric and Beth Baird, played by Alex Norton and Arabella Weir, will be screened on BBC One.And Ayrshire actor Graeme Stevely, who's better known in wrestling circles as Grado, is expected to return for filming.The most recent series and tear jerking festive special featured Christine (Elaine C Smith) with Beth and Eric's loving son Ian (Jamie Quinn) and his wide-eyed fiancé Gordon (Kieran Hodgson) appearing, while ever-positive Michelle (Joy McAvoy) and partner Alan (Graeme Stevely) were joined by Colin, played by Jonathan Watson, and his new partner Anne Marie (Siobhan Redmond).
