New Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Mel Stride, is set to face questions from MPs on November 30 in his first meeting with the cross-party Work and Pensions Committee, chaired by Sir Stephen Timms MP.
Peter Schofield, Permanent Secretary at Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will also be in attendance for the formal meeting from Westminster which members of the public can watch live on the official Parliament TV website from 9.15am.
Mr Stride is expected to face questions on his priorities for the rest of the Parliament, including how DWP plans to support people through the cost of living crisis.
He is likely to be asked about measures announced in the Autumn Statement and issues around the benefit cap and the adequacy of benefit levels.
