Perth and Kinross Council ’s new chief executive takes up his new role on Monday, November 1. Thomas Glen has left his role as deputy chief executive at East Dunbartonshire Council to take over at the helm of PKC.After more than 30 years in public service he has said he is “delighted” to be taking up the role.Barbara Renton has been serving as PKC’s interim chief executive since Karen Reid left at the end of January to take up a new role as chief executive of NHS Education for Scotland in February.Mrs Renton will return to her role as PKC’s executive director of communities.Thomas was said to have been appointed following a “rigorous recruitment and selection process.”Mr Glen has worked with East Dunbartonshire Council since 2009 and as
