EXCLUSIVE: Video tech firm Channel 1 is rolling out two new AI tools designed to improve the production and distribution processes.
The products, First Cut and Prism, help automate workflows and put videos into different formats. Initial clients have included Sweden’s TV4, which relied on Channel 1 technology to deliver a daily news show during a three-week pilot.
TRT, the national broadcast outlet in Turkey, has also deployed the AI tools. Channel 1 gained attention in 2023 for bringing to market an AI-driven newscast hosted by virtual anchors.
That launch was driven by the need for increased personalization as well as the potential for greater efficiency and global reach, with programming able to change languages at the touch of a button.
