Neve Campbell ‘Disappointed’ by ‘Scream’ Killing Off Major Character, but Has No ‘Ill Will’ Against Franchise After Exiting Over Salary Dispute

Michaela Zee Neve Campbell has shared her thoughts on the current “Scream” franchise after choosing not to appear in the sixth installment, which released in March of this year, due to a salary dispute.

At a spotlight panel at Monster-Mania Con earlier in November, Campbell told the audience that she had watched “Scream 6” a few weeks before her appearance at the convention. “It took me a minute, I don’t know why,” she said. “I actually thought they did a really good job.

I think the cast are really powerful, wonderful actors.” Campbell added, “I don’t wish these movies ill will. I wanted the movie to be good.

It’s not like I’m sitting in my house going, ‘I hope it sucks, I hope it doesn’t do well.’ I care about all the people involved.
