Netflix unveils The Witcher prequel series Blood Origin set 1200 years earlier

mirror.co.ukNetflix has announced a spin-off series to hit fantasy epic The Witcher. The streaming giant confirmed that The Witcher: Blood Origin will be a prequel limited series consisting of six episodes.
Similarly to the original show, Blood Origin will shoot in the UK. The new spin-off series will be set over a millennium before the events of The Witcher and will tell the story of the very first Witcher.
Netflix's official description of the series reads: "Set in an Elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher, Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time - the origin of the very first Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal 'conjunction of the spheres,' when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one."
