While Netflix allows each account to include up to five individual profiles, many users share their profile with a partner or friend, which can mess up your personal recommendations.

But the days of trawling through recommendations aimed at others could soon be a thing of the past, thanks to a new Netflix feature.

Netflix now lets you lock specific profiles with a PIN. The firm explained: “If you want to restrict access to a specific profile on your account, you can protect it with a Profile Lock PIN.” Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add a PIN to one of your Netflix profiles.
