Netflix Sets August Launch For Doc On ‘RRR’ & ‘Baahubali’ Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli
deadline.comNetflix will release biographical documentary Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli on August 2, shedding light on the Indian filmmaker behind titles like Baahubali and RRR.
Presented by Anupama Chopra, the documentary features insights on S.S. Rajamouli from James Cameron, Joe Russo, and Karan Johar, as well as close friends and colleagues such as Prabhas, Jr NTR, Rana Daggubati and Ram Charan.
Netflix partnered with Applause Entertainment and Film Companion Studios to make the documentary, which highlights Rajamouli’s influence on Indian and international cinema, with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
The film will form part of Netflix’s Modern Masters doc series on Indian creatives. “S.S. Rajamouli is a visionary whose imagination has altered the course of Indian cinema,” said producer and host Chopra. “His craft has captivated audiences around the world.
