The highly anticipated Netflix series The Gentlemen arrives on the streaming platform on Thursday 7 March with Theo James and Kaya Scodelario in the main roles as Eddie Halstead and Susie Glass. The series sounds familiar because Guy Ritchie, writer, executive producer and director also created the film with the same name.
During the making of the series, the cast and crew filmed in various locations from Brocket Hall to Badminton House but during one take, the team made a costly error.
During a Q&A at the world premiere, Guy revealed an incident on set left them in trouble. In one scene at the end of the first episode, Daniel Ings (who plays Eddie's brother, Freddy Halstead) said he “stacked it” on the grass in the “first take”.
Guy interjected: “We got told off by the Duke whose house we shot it at. We were under strict instructions to stay off the grass and then there were these skid marks - this skid mark cost us about 10 grand.” However, the cast continued to laugh the incident off.
