Joe Exotic
Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.
Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Netflix's Tiger King star claims Joe Exotic 'killed more than 100 tigers'

A Netflix'sTiger King cast-member has claimed that Joe Exotic "killed more than 100 tigers" while in charge at his private zoo.

Erik Cowie, 51, who is the head zookeeper at the GW Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma, alleged that the animals disliked Joe so much that "several of the big cats would have eaten him alive if given the chance".

Cowie worked alongside Joe Exotic, 57, who is now serving time in jail after being found guilty of paying a hitman to kill animal activist Carole Baskin, and for more than a dozen wildlife violations, including killing five tigers.
