Netflix subscribers are up in arms after discovering that the new series Kaos won't be returning for a second season. Aurora Perrineau, who plays Eurydice aka 'Riddy' in the Greek mythology-inspired drama, broke the news on Instagram earlier this week, announcing the show's cancellation with a heavy heart.
The post has since disappeared, initially casting doubt over the future of the Jeff Goldblum-fronted series. Unfortunately, Variety later confirmed the show's cancellation on Tuesday (October 8).
In Kaos, Jurassic Park star Jeff portrayed Zeus, the king of the gods, whose reign is threatened by a dark prophecy. Meanwhile, Riddy finds herself trapped in the underworld, prompting her husband, famed musician Orpheus (played by Killian Scott), to embark on a dangerous journey to rescue her, reports the Mirror.
Released in August, Kaos quickly garnered a dedicated following; however, it seems the viewership numbers didn't suffice to secure a second season, despite the first season finale leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
