Netflix's latest true-crime docuseries takes a closer look at the murder of Laci Peterson. Laci, a housewife who was seven months pregnant with her first child, vanished from her Modesto, California, home in December 2002.
Her husband, fertiliser salesman Scott Peterson, reported her missing, but investigators suspected foul play despite only having circumstantial evidence.
Laci's remains, and those of her unborn son Conner, were discovered on the shores of San Francisco Bay in early 2003, leading to Scott's arrest on a golf course in April of that year.
He was found with dyed blond hair and his car was allegedly "overstuffed" with items such as $15,000 in cash, Viagra tablets, survival gear, camping equipment, changes of clothes and four mobile phones, reports the Mirror.
