Neon Takes North American Rights To Joachim Trier’s ‘Sentimental Value’ Starring Renate Reinsve — Cannes

deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Neon has prebought North American rights to Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, the latest project from the Norwegian director that stars Renate Reinsve.
It marks the second collaboration for Neon, Trier and Reinsve after 2021’s The Worst Person In The World, which was nominated for a Best International Feature Oscar in 2022 as well as Best Original Screenplay.
That project also played in Competition at the Cannes Film Festival the year prior, where it earned Reinsve the Best Actress Award.
Eskil Vogt and Trier wrote the screenplay of Sentimental Value, which is described as a family drama about two sisters forced to deal with their estranged father following the death of their mother.
