Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Confident Neil Lennon has promised fans that Ange Postecoglou's Treble hopes are ON after seeing off Rangers in the Viaplay Cup final.

Kyogo Furuhashi was the hero at Hampden after netting a double for the holders, and despite Alfredo Morelos' goal setting up a nervy finish at the national stadium it was the green half of Glasgow celebrating after the final whistle.

With Postecoglou keeping the League Cup in the Celtic Park trophy cabinet, anticipation that a domestic clean sweep could be on the cards for Celtic this season, with the Hoops already holding a nine point advantage at the top of the Scottish Premiership.Postecoglou will look to take the Scottish Cup from Rangers, with the quarter-final clash with Hearts set to take place at Tynecastle next month.

Lennon, who is the only man to win a Celtic Treble as both a player and manager, reckons the "psychological lift" after seeing off Michael Beale's men has put them on track for a bumper silverware haul.
