Neighbours' Phoebe actress Simone Robertson married to famous co-star 3 decades since soap debut
ok.co.ukPhoebe Bright was the Neighbours school swot with a fondness for reptiles, particularly her pet snake. Played by 15 year old actress Simone Robertson, Phoebe arrived on Ramsay Street in 1991 and swiftly earned herself the nickname Creepy Phoebe from the kids at Erinsborough High.
However, little did they know what was to come next for the figure of fun. In just two years, Phoebe turned from a bookish schoolgirl into a tortured teen, first falling for Josh Anderson (played by Jeremy Angerson) but going on to become pregnant by Josh's best friend Todd Landers (actor Kristian Schmid).
Todd was famously killed off from the soap as he rushed to the hospital to halt Phoebe's abortion after changing his mind, and was sadly hit by a van.
Melbourne-born Simone revealed she'd been desperate to secure the role of Phoebe, turning up for auditions wearing thick glasses and with her hair in pigtails, saying: "I love playing Phoebe - it's a fantastic role.
